Tap at Keyaki. Light spice, something a little vegetal, little bit of roast, some sweet malt, bit of caramel.

Tap at Keyaki. Very Roasty, coffee, bitterness, quite slick, faded quite a bit later, bit nice enough at the start.

Bottle at Kaeru. Floury, bit banana, quite sweet and perfumey. Cloves maybe. Wheaty. Nice but maybe one is enough.

Tap at Oedo Beer Fest. Foul, cabbage, ao jiso-forward nose with gasoline as it warms. More petrol and cabbage on the palate with a weird rubber blueberry flavor. Really fucking nasty. Awa, maybe you guys should re-evaulate your life choice. Seriously. Right in the garbage. --- Beer merged from original tick of Awa Blueberry Ale on 02 May 2016 at 19:21 - Score: 3. Original review text: Gasoline vegetables and wet dog......yuck.

Bottle served on a Weizen glass 5% it pours a mildly opaque gold with a foamy white head. The nose is fruity, cloves but maybe with a touch of sulfur? Sharp carbonation, the taste is line of off wheat but then sulfury should egg and an astringent metallic quality. Drinkable but barely so... After warming up the sulfur dissipates somewhat and you have some cloves and mild fruitiness but the overall impression is a harsh somewhat chemical flavor. This beer is definitely off. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle Shared by KyotoLefty at the Kyoto Beer Festa. A nice dark black pour, a good roasty aroma. Nice medium body. Really good roasty coffee flavor quite nice but not something that stands out from the pack.

Bottle mail ordered from the brewery. Again, a strange nose, caramel, chocolate, cinnamon, and something like paint thinner. Pale amber color, low head. Ass flavor of infection, cabbage, lemon, caramel, a touch of coffee, some hop bitterness. Terrible stuff again. Maybe the worst of a very bad bunch. Only 2 of 5 from this brewery were drinkable.

Bottle mail ordered from the brewery. Weird nose of blueberries, paint thinner, light cabbage, spice and perfume. The berries come through, but there’s a lot of bad in there too. Pale violet color, a bit cloudy, with a lacy head. Sweet, fruity, sugary. There is sugar added, and it tastes like it was not fermented at all. Berry flavors get lost even more than in the nose. The slightest tartness there, and the weirdness is basically covered up, but this is just berry soda. Nasty stuff, really. Nothing beer-like going on here.

Bottle mail ordered from the brewery. Sour, acidic funk ass nose with citrus, grapefruit, and infection. Deep golden with a low head. Sweet malts, sour offness, grapefruit, melon. Hmm. A pale ale gone bad. Must have been very sweet and estery to begin with, now it’s just sour. Almost works, accidentally, but no. I will rate it, since it came yesterday fresh from the brewery and is 3 months from its drink-by.
