Cloudy golden with a tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma with grainy and breadish notes. Sweet fruity aroma with malty and mild hoppy notes. Flavour was sweet and malty with caramel and hoppy notes. Finished bitter.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of cardboard, malt, and some malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardboard, caramel, metal, and malt, leading to a dry metallic finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.

Draught at Schreckenskammer. This beer is reportedly now brewed at Dom, which clearly shows on the results It comes clear golden with creamy head. Fruity and rather sweet, a whiff of boiled vegetables lures behind. Rounded with fairly low hop rate. Slight salty bitterness. Though softness lifts it, and it’s far from being a bad beer, there are no real point in drinking it anymore. Go elsewhere for real kölsch.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild, fruity-fresh, fruitiness a bit drier in the end. Prickly finish. Really good Kölsch!

On tap at the brewpub: Pale, straw-golden, firm creamy-white head; clean sourish-fruity nose with distinctive, spicy hops in the second row; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; becomes a bit maltier in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Very decent, well rounded Kölsch........

Bottle (trade with Koelschtrinker). Light honey and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Light barley malt flavor followed by a bitter dry hops finsh but a nice malty aftertaste. Moderate carbonation. Nice drinkable beer but light.

Bottle, 4.8%. Bready aroma. Clear yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is mildly bready. A little metallic bitterness, but otherwise rather OK. 6 3 6 3 11 Bottle, 5.0%. Floral and bready aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Small stable chalk white head. The flavour is malty and papery with a hint of metal, but not too bad. 50 cL bottle, trade with Koelschtrinker. Pours pale and clear yellow with a dense white head. Light hoppy aroma. Flavour is mild malty, light hoppy and with a mild grainy note. Ends with a subdued malt sweetnes and a light bitterness and acidity.

Draught at the brewpub. Golden with a medium white head. A very nice malty aroma with some decent hoppiness as well. Flavor is malty sweet, a bit bready, and the finish is hoppy and bitter with a bit of grass. Quite thick and full bodied for a Kolsch. Very good.
