Brewed somewhere in Bavaria. On tap at the pub. The beer starts malty and slightly sweet. The body is full and slightly roasted. A bit dry. not too sweet. The aftertaste is roasted, probably a bit too sweet, but very nice. --> a great Altbier! 12/12/11/12 --- Beer merged from original tick of Rheinisches Alt on 05 Feb 2023 at 21:43 - Score: 7. The beer starts a bit sweet and watery. The mainpart is for my taste a it too neutral and sweet, only slightly bitter and not typical for a pils. The aftertaste is not too long, nearly no hops, sweet and a bit malty. --> doesn’t taste like a pils, but has a very high drinkability. 8/7/7/6

This beer also seemed to be improved. Nice full and slightly sweetish body. Nicely bittered in the mainpart, quite sweetish-grainy but still fine. The aftertaste is nice intense bitter with a sweetish-grainy and "souther-German Pils-style" body. The beer starts very watery, a bit sweet with a bit of lemon in the taste. The mainpart is very watery, nearly no body. The aftertaste is very short and - watery with a little bit of sweetness notable. --> not very recommended...

The beer is much better than last time. Slightly grainy-sweetish body with a nice moderate bitterness coming up. Not too much body, but fine for a Kölsch. Dry and slightly grainy aftertaste with a slightly sweetish-bitter aroma remaining on the tongue.
--> Much improved in comparison to my last visit!
