Description
After borrowing other peoples breweries for some years, Beerhere had found quite a following of beer drinkers around the world, that enjoyed beer a little outside the normal styles, while still maintaining high drinkability and the omissions of too many silly ingredients and gimicky BS. So at a certain point it was time to build our own brewery on the island of Bornholm. We found an old fishing factory right on the harbour of a little fishing village and in the summer of 2015 our first beer was released. The brewery is shared with our other brand Penyllan, which focuses on wild fermentation and barrel aging.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear orangey brown with a nice, off-white head. Discreet nutty nose. Quite full-bodied, nutty accents with a little caramel and a fairly bitter and alcoholic finish. Not really that exciting. 010209

bottle, thanks faroeviking for sharing. orange, large offwhite smooth head. aroma is orange, spices, coriander, yeast. flavor is sweet , orange, hoppy, spices. overall this is a nice and special beer, but i feel it is too much ornage to really suit my personal taste. re-rate 2022-22-02 best before 2025 no idea when it was brewed. yeast dominates the aroma.mostly all i get is belgian yeasty notes. flavor is certanly belgian inspired, but with some added notes from friuts i think, or coriander or something. lots of yeast driven notes too, and a very potent alc. punch making most of the bitterness. flowery notes too. flavor is not that impressive, but the beer is very smooth and well blended well balanced sort of , tastes like quality, not like industrial belgian. not changing rate score

Copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, hard roasted malt, fruity yeast and possibly a touch of American hops? A rich and sweet malty flavour with just enough hops. Again there is a hard roasted note, and I don’t like it. I can see on the label that it’s cold extract of chocolate malt - it should make it gentler, but didn’t work well enough for my taste. The mouthfeel is huge, just as it should in a malt heavy strong ale.
