Description
Client brewer in 2012-2013, microbrewing since 2014.

That’s a first ! When I bought this, the brewer told me it was a gusher. Why did I buy it ? Guess I’m insane :) Anyway, No gusher (!) but if you pour, it’s all foam. When the foam has ’melted down’ into beer, and you pour again, the foam rises afterwards, and creates a gusher in your glass. Unique, for sure ! Smell is sweet, very yeasty. Taste is super-yeasty, full, overripe fruit. Really Belgian. Actually quite low on carbo, the way I like it ( it probably loses most by having such a big foam) The beer itself is totally alright, even quite good, if you’re into a tripel-like taste ( Belgian yeastbomb ) . i’m not, really, but can admit the taste is quite alright, as is the body. If only the foam would be less... Well, just less, really! Can’t say I was warned though !

Not really a sour, but a bretted pale ale. Smells funky, but not crazily. Taste is similar, quite mild brett, light, refreshing.

Dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour have some dark berry fruits. Very rich feel. Really good balance of fruity sweetness and hop bitterness.

[9/24/16] Bottle sample at hotel room tasting in Woerden. Thanks everyone for sharing! Brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, piney hops, roast. Flavor is a bit sourish, with bitter piney hops. Medium-bodied. Nice.

0.33 l bottle from ’Speciaalbierwinkel’, best before March 2020. Clear, dark reddish amber with a thin, slightly creamy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Faint, sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a little yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, red fruits, oak and clove. Sweetish-malty, slightly yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, clove, oak, a touch of honey and hints of peach, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly warming-alcoholic and fairly woody finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice! Could be a bit more aromatic and lacks a bit of carbonation, but it’s quite tasty with a satisfying finish and a good touch of oak.
