Celebrating the coming of the Easter holidays with two 500ml bottles, same beer, but different batches; No.128 (from Nov.04) and No. 230 (from Feb.06). The latest gives an oily impression both in aroma and flavour. It’s prematured and unsettled. The oldest, however, is much better. Clear golden with a low lasting head. Fresh fruity aroma. Rich roundness in flavour with mixture of fruits like pineapple, grapefruit and orange. Dry finish with some light yeasty undertones.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Full-bodied with a nice caramel sweetness fully balanced by a solid dose of aroma hops also leaving quite some bitterness. Perhaps I could have hoped fo a cleaner, more subtle hoppiness. But neat indeed. A gigantic, lumpy sediment at the bottom. 120406

500ml bottle from Utobeer. Copper gold colour with thin white head. Attractive sweet hop aroma. I had been in Prague for 4 days so smelling a distinctive intense hop aroma was a major plus. Some earthiness too. Muddy earthy in mouth with more grapefruit/mud on the end. US hop style influence. Fine. Just too earthy. Malt needs better definition too. Aroma is good and aftertaste due to the intense hop. Earthiness in the middlle needs sorting out

500ml bottle from Utobeer. Cloudy amber colour with thin off white head. Sweetish hop aroma, bit of plastic, some promise of syrupy fruit. OK in mouth, some red fruit flavour. Hops on end are quite peppery and hot. Bit muddy and earthy. Hopa are nice, but the rest is not too interesting

500ml bottle. Batch 207 (bb.14.11.2007). Clear golden. Dense white head diminishing slowly. Bursts of fruity aromas. Intens and tremendous hoppy flavour with a bit yeast in the background. Solid bitter aftertaste. Very good, indeed.
