Bottle at Valhalla. Murky darker reddish body, off-white thick head. Creamy stone fruit, candied citrus and caramel aroma, yet lean and dry. Old school, lower alcohol than expected in the aroma, some resin. Dry bit astringent taste, very herbal, citric, big bitter finish, some alcohol. Endearingly old school but also stuck in 2010.

Tap at Valhalla BC with Gurthnar. For 0.2l/10€ this had better rock. Pretty much pitch black body, but extremely dark brown really, some beige head, going away at a medium to quick pace. Lean, dry raisin and minerally aroma, perfumey. Smooth, lightly peaty taste, cocoa, coffee, alcohol, quite warming, quite immediately, trace raisins. Sweetish, ending dry. Lovely, but severely overpriced.

Tap at Valhalla, thx Gurthnar, 2025 vintage. Very dark brown, blackosh body, tan thick head, medium to low retention. Coffee and heavy sticky caramelly maltiness with some spices in the aroma. Coffee, smooth, sweetish, medium body, bit sticky, some herbal, formic acid notes vaguely,

Very full body, the extra sweetness balanced by medium warmth, soft feeling tho. Assertive roast too, med-high bitterness, lots of fresh feeling coffee, med cocoa, nuts. Med-light whiskey, dark candy, light marshmallow. Great beer.

Med body, yet feels kinda emptyish. Light carbo. Med-high sweetness, med-light bitter. It is dark, it has a rich and strong caramel indeed. Med-light dried fruits, light alco warmth. Light bretty element too, hint of wood. Gets better as it warms up. Nice.

Sampled at Billies day 1. Opaque black color, no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, quite sweet actually, soy sauce, somewhat bitter but not a lot. The soy sauce dominates. Mwah, unbalanced. 8-6-5-7-5,5

On tap at Valhalla Beer Club, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma has rich dark coffee, whiskey barrels, and booze. Flavour has deep coffee, bitter roast, and some boozy whiskey barrels. Not as cohesive or elegant as past Dark Horizons I’ve had but damn good nonetheless.
