Bottle, at Nødingen. Intense coffee and chocolate, with a good dash of alcohol, but not too warming. Roasted malts, licorice hints. Complex, delicious. 949417 260320

A black beer, a head is quite small and brown. Aroma has liquorice, salt liquorice, barrel, wood, some whiskey. Taste has salt liquorice, some vanilla and barrel, this is very sweet. Full bodied, not stickyness. Good beer, but a way too sweet.

Bottle @ home. Unclear deep amber body under a small, dense tan head. Strong and slightly boozy aroma with malt, wood, dry fruit and whisky. Taste is balanced sweet malt, dry fruit, wood, whisky, warming alcohol and balanced bitterness. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Aroma and first sip may feel a bit raw and alcoholic, but it falls into place as the flavours settle in. Nice sipper.

Semi opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light dark malts, a little chocolate. Lots of prune, ripe marsala ripe citrus and stone fruits sit behind. A little bit of alcohol spice betrays the 15% abv. A ripe, rich and tasty affair

Bottle. Distinct and delicious boozy aroma with dark dried fruit, chocolate, some coffee hints and a touch of oak. Hints of licorice. Nice tannins and a good bitterness to balance the sweetness. Perhaps not as complex as I wished for, but certainly worth repeating. 848415 260312
