Bottle @ home. Dark brown/amber body, almost black under a small beige head. Aroma has dark, roasted malt, caramel, dry fruit, chocolate, wood and warming alcohol. Taste is surprisingly smooth and almost boozy without being that. Soft, gentle roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, dry fruit like prunes and raisins, oak, vinous alcohol, some vanilla, balanced bitterness and hint of tobacco. Fine balanced body, not too sweet and sticky. Everlasting aftertaste. This is really a great beer with so many layers of flavours.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black body under a fading beige head. Strong aroma of dark malt, vinous alcohol, coffee and some dark fruit. Taste is smooth dark malt, quite much alcohol, but in a very nice way, rather vinous and complex. Also, dark fruit, some chocolate, coffee, wood and balanced bitterness. Lots of strong flavours but everything seems to come together with a good planned balance. Lovely sipper.

Drinking this beer, coming back from Zürich, before a boring day of formation. An interesting beer free of alcool, malty, grainy, yeasty, fruity with clear note of green tea, a bit syrupy, light bitterness, 16.04.23

Black with a brown head - Malt aroma with chocolate and some wood notes - Malt body with hints of chocolate and wood , but the most dominant flavours are hot aqnd spicy - The hot and spicy flavours goes into a long finish - Nice, but a little to hot and spicy for my palate

Coming back from Zürich and it was a welcome beer, a good surprise for a stout free of alcool, tasty and refreshing, roasty, smooth and mineral, touch of vanilla, tobacco, some hop, a bit syrupy, a bit watery, 27.03.23

Bottle. Vinous, with roasted malts, coffee, dark sugar, toffee, oak, spiced hints, alcohol, some leather and tobacco, and a piney hoppyness. Sweet, with a decent bitterness. Combined with the alcohol warmth it prevents the beer from feeling too sweet. Think it's too sweet anyway though, but delicious anyway, and the cask used certainly adds something to the beer. A bit curious to see if it ages well. 848516 260116

Fjorårets bursdagsgave fra Håkon: nesten helt svart med kort bruseskum. Vinøse duftinntrykk blander seg med raffinerte innslag av deilige mørke malter, einebær, lynghonning, kvae, appelsin og vanilje. En superb avslutning på kvelden for de mørke øl.

A welcome ipa free of alcool after a week to be sick and after a long day of work from Zürich. A nice and interesting ipa for the style, smooth and yeasty, buttery note, fruity, citrus, dry hop, aromatic and floral, well balanced and subtle, 27.03.23.
