Day 19: Kraftbierwerkstatt Der Schwarze Bock 6% Deep brown verging on black with a wisp of tan foam. Big malty caramel, figs, plums and toffee aroma. Medium bodied with a depth of malt flavor that perfectly matches the aroma. Yum, perfect timing for this dark beer on a bracingly cold Kyoto night.

Pour is more of a dark brown with a bone white head. Aroma is a slight roasted malt. Flavor is a pretty sweet caramel malt with a lager mineral. A lot sweeter than I thought that would be but this also had a nice roasted malt.

Can. Costco Advent 2021 - #5 A- Cola, mild anise, faint smoke. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Dates, oak, tobacco, cocoa, molasses, slightly grainy, toasty.
