Expensive as all hell 22oz bomber pours with a mahogany to deep ruby red amber colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up sweet smelling smooth Cognac dark fruity booze flowing into plums, dates and a bit of booze and oak. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet prune and date softened Cognac. It then picks up a thin nectar sweet plum like Cognac as a modest booziness and spicy oak note hits. This isn’t all that complex but it’s still a nice smooth sipper.

Poured up on tap at BRI, within an hour of its first tapping, where it exhibits a perfectly opaque deep papery gold body that has thin copper hues and supports a thin off white head. The aroma comes from an aroma killing tumbler glass where I get inviting levels of pineapple and pink grapefruit. The tumbler didn’t inhibitor the aroma much at all. The taste delivers juicy pineapple blended with mango and ripe juicy tangelo. The hop bitterness ramps up some toward midway with bitter pineapple, pink grapefruit and a mild grassy to pine like hoppiness. Solid IPA with plenty of depth and balance.
