Description
Hare Moon cider is made from apples grown, pressed and bottled at Wigginton Farm, St. Martins. Varieties such as Dabinett, Harry Masters Jersey, Browns, Langworthy and Kingston Black and more recently, Yarlington Mill are grown on organic land, free of sprays and fertiliser. The brown hare, of which this cider is named, is resident in the orchard, enjoying the shelter and windfalls the apple trees provide.

500ml bottle at home on the evening of 15th November 2023. Minutemat is getting closer with his Shropshire ratings, he's within 50 of me at the moment. Got to keep him at bay. This is a decent enough Cider, not too sweet, but certainly not 'dry'. 560th Shropshire rate.

500ml bottle from Appleyards, Shrewsbury. Shared with Soph by the river. Pours gold with a light pinkish hint. Has an artificial strawberry ice pop character, very light bodied, not a lot of natural apple fruit coming through. Not feeling it.

My first cider rating, and I'm far from knowledgeable when it comes to apple-based drinks! Pours a slightly cloudy orange-gold, with a very small bubbly white head. There's a low level of carbonation, giving it a bit of a spritzy mouthfeel and the aroma is of slightly tart apples. The taste is not overly apple-heavy, just nicely apple-y and you get the tang of slightly tart fruit and then a dryness in the finish

Bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Appearance - deep golden, low carbonation. Nose - ripe, fleshy apple. Taste - more ripe apple but with added funky edge this time. Palate - medium bodied, sweet but with balancing apple acidity. Overall- enjoyable.
