Tap @ the brewery. Clear dark golden to golden brown body under a creamy tan head. Aroma of malt, bread, biscuit, mild caramel and some fruitiness. Taste is smooth and soft, malt driven beer with a light but balancing bitterness. Nice and food friendly.

Tap @ the brewery. Unclear golden body under a huge, creamy white head. Mild and refreshing classic IPA with session qualities. Best described as an English IPA with a touch of American hops. Food friendly.

A small bottle from the tasting room in Rotterdam, drunk at Dad’s place while home on holiday: barrel-aged in Aultmore. Aroma: great: sherry, chocolate liqueurs, coffee. Appearance: opaque cola, no head to speak of. Palate: full-bodied and oily on the tongue, soft carbonation; finish is long lasting, well-roasted. Taste: lightly sweet with plenty of malt-loaf; more chocolate and coffee. Lacks complexity, but big alcohol kick makes this a winner for me.

NL/BEL excursion day 2: at their tasting room in Rotterdam, a small one, keg. Aroma: outstanding: complex, almost brandy-like, quite unlike your usual coffee or chocolate dominated fare. Appearance: opaque cola, 2-3mm. tan head. Palate: full-bodied and oily, average carbonation; finish is well-malted, long and lingering, ending on a dry note. Taste: lightly sweet with malty notes, quite well-balanced. 100% cocoa chocolate, big alcohol hit, really good stuff.

NL/BEL excursion day 2: at their tasting room in Rotterdam, a small one, keg. Aroma: hay, rather sour. Appearance: clear light amber, 2-3mm. off-white head. Palate: full-bodied and oily, average carbonation; finish is sweet and rather abrupt. Taste: heavily sweet, rock candy; alcohol is well-hidden but overall rather one-dimensional.

Flarra med Mia o Klas. Frisk lätt doft. Smaken härlig med kolatoner. Bra balans o fin eftersmak. Det här var gott!
