4/6/2018. Cask from the Half Moon, Darlington and courtesy of Danlo, cheers Ed! Pours mid-gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hop, caramel, fruit, biscuit, malt and flowers. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily and slightly watery texture, soft carbonation. Nice.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of pale malt, citrus. Taste is biscuity malt, fruity, citrus hop and light bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Black colour, tan foam head leaving lacing and chocolatey roasted malt aroma. Taste is powdered chocolate, with milky, roast malt, smokey, dark fruits & coffee notes with some bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, chocolate roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Darlington CAMRA 2016 Beer Festival at the Forum. Golden colour, frothy white foam head and aroma of tropical fruit, mango, orange blossom, citrus hoppy. Flavour is pale malt, alittle biscuit, with fruity mango and citrusy hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Darlington Beer Festival, June 2014 at the Forum. Golden amber colour, white foam head and tropical fruit, citrusy hoppy aroma. Taste is tropical fruitt, melon, with watery malt, caramel, and light bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry light bitter finish. Promises much but doesn’t deliver! Quite OK as a golden ale.
