Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam and aroma of caramel, hop. Taste is malt, caramel, biscuit, with some mellow orangey hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Half Moon (Crafty Pint), Darlington. Golden amber colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of malt, yeast, mellow hop. Taste is malt, grainy, with tangy woody earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. OK

8/4/2019. Cask sample courtesy of Danlo, cheers! Pours very dark ruby brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, dark fruit, berries, hint of black coffee, vanilla and nut. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight watery and oily texture, soft carbonation. Fruity finish. Easy drinker.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Deep reddish dark brown colour, biege foam head and fruity malty aroma. Taste is dark chocolatey malt, fruity, yeasty with mild bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry fruity finish. Quite drinkable

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Dark brown colour, light brown foam head lacing alittle lacing and malty spicy nutty aroma. Taste is dark chocolate malt, bready, earthy, coffee with some cinnamon, spices, dried fruit and brandy hint. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spiced boozy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Jet black colour, light brown foam head and soya sauce, malty & molasses aroma. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate & coffee, dark fruits, then tart zingy damson with some bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Taste is dark malty, molasses, dried fruity, powdered chocolate, coffee, with slight yeasty note and earthy mild bitterness. Fairly thin mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy light bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at Darlington Snooker Club 2016 Autumn Beer Festival. Dark reddish tinged black colour, beige creamy foam head leaving lacing and roast malt aroma. Taste is malty, roasty, molasses, chocolate & coffee, dark fruits, lactic notes and earthy bitterness. Fairly thin mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

From the wood, at Half Moon, Darlington, 3rd Birthday festival. Black colour with a beige bubbly foam head. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate, dark fruits, woody. Taste is roasted dark malts, chocolate & coffee, dried fruit, raisins, some wood, oak and nutty, spicy bitterness. Slightly thin mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry nutty roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.
