We bring you craft beer with a nostalgic twist, born from influential culture of the 80's & 90's.
At the heart of Play Brew Co is an obsession for creating quality beers. That all started back in 2014, when our founder Phil embarked on a journey of home brewing after being inspired by the craft beer cropping up in Leeds.
2017: It’s been a long road but we are delighted to announce that Play Brew Co’s first trio of beers is hitting bars and stores in the North of England. The Arcade ‘86 Series is a collection of three recipes that pay homage to Phil’s favourite beers – tying his experience of home brewing and his on hand experience at brew labs together.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby (23/9/23). Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head and good lacing. As might be expected, oranges and chocolate in the aroma, plus some hints of nuts. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with flavours of chocolate, roast malts and (to a lesser extent) oranges. Later on traces of cola and ginger come through as well leading to a slightly spicy finish. This is really rather nice.
