Can. Clear gold. White mousse flashes away. Floral apple aroma with flesh and some skin. A bit of body, fairly fizzy. A little caramel sweetness with fleshy apples and then a bit of acidic bite. Pretty good.

Can. Not easy to figure out the correct name of this one. Gold, mousse flashes away. Aroma of sweet and somewhat tart apples, skin, vanilla, flowers. Some sweet eating apples but a bit of acid bite from cider apples making it cleansing. Not bad.

Imported by our friends at InCider Japan and picked up at TDM 1874 Shimokitazawa is this Tasmanian Cider! Spreyton Cider Young Sturmer 2.0 5.1% Great sweet apple aroma that was mouthwatering with a seltzer-like effervescence. Sparkling but fairly smooth carbonation. The taste is a bit puckering funky apple but with a sweet finish. My kind of cider, semi-sweet with some character and complexity but clear sweet apple in the finish.

Tap GABS 19. Quite sweet fresh and cooked apple. A little too sweet really but a drying finish and some hard spice notes. A determined tannin note sets in at the end. Can't really say why but again Spreyton do pretty well by me.

330ml bottle from Dan Murphys, Hurstville. Hazy yellow straw colour, white foam head that quickly disspates away and aroma of mellow fruity apple. Taste is tangy apple, light woody funk, with some earthy tannin. Medium bodied, slightly spritzy to medium carbonation, dry tangy earthy tannic finish. Quite OK.
