Description
Saimaa Brewing Company on yksi Suomen vanhimmista yhä toiminnassa olevista pienpanimoista. Juuremme ulottuvat vuoteen 1995, jolloin ravintoloitsija Pertti Oksa aloitti oluenpanon Mikkelissä 200 litran ravintolapanimossa.

Draught@SOPP. Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Plastic, bubble gum aroma, a bit wheaty. Quite sour, citrusy and wheaty flavor with coriander or some other spice. Peppery aftertaste. Strange hefeweizen. Should be in condition ...

Near black with reddish glimts. Aroma was sweet with roasted malt, chocolate and coffee notes. The sweet flavour had plenty of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and hints of butter. The butter actually worked fine in this one. Finished sweet and mildly bitter.

Bottled (Citymarket Sello, BB 06/2009). Clear amber color, small beige head, mostly vanishing. Aroma is caramel malts-fudge, metal and some grassy-grainyness. Flavor has also caramel malts and metal, but also some bready bitterness. Otherwise quite typical Finnish XMas beer, but has some odd American vibe in it.

Draught@brewpub. Pitch brown/black, steady creamy espresso head. Sweetish and coffeish-toasted aroma. Burned malty, roasted flavor. Creamy texture, a bit sticky too. Long roasted aftertaste. A bit too much burned malts, but otherwise quite drinkable.
