Arôme sur des effluves fruitées tropicales - mangue, léger sur les agrumes - le tout mélangé avec un caractère malté de caramel.

Palais met en avant le côté un peu huileux houblonné axé sur le houblon - tropical avec une touche de mangue - agrumes bien en retrait. Fruité rappelant le côté un peu abricot. Rétro un peu sec sur le pin avec un fini fleuri voire herbacé. Base malt apportant un caractère malté-caramel grillé en retrait.

44cl can. A slightly hazy golden beer with a white head. Aroma of juicy hops, tropical fruit, mango. Taste of bitter juicy hops, yellow fruits, mango, peach, grapefruit. Long bitter finish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Etre. Pours lightly hazed yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Good stuff, medium sweet, light pithy citrus, lemon rind, grapefruit, dry pale mats, a hint of pine needles. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, more lemon rind, grapefruit, mellow resin, clean pale bread. Quite drinkable. Solid overall.

Gose as interpreted by this progressive Brussels client brewer, with thick and frothy, ‘Brugse kant’-like lacing, stable head and cloudy straw-yellow blonde robe. Aroma of raw cucumber, dusty coriander seed, fresh wakame, sourdough, peanut peel, green apple, white bread. Crisp onset, lactic-sour but mellowly so, fruity aspects of green pear, Granny Smith apple and cucumber, smooth and slightly soapy wheatiness, sourdough effect with softly drying lactic tartness and gently spicy coriander seed; aspects of gherkin and pickled lime in the finish but again, mellowly so. A thyme-like herbal hoppiness also appears but remains very low in bitterness. Fresh, ‘pale green’ crispness in the finish with just that subtle pinch of saltiness – quite different from the sometimes complete rocks of salt some craft brewers throw in their Goses. This one adheres closely to the German roots of the style at least in its basics – adding a selection of New World hops, unnecessarily if you ask me, has not really been able to alter that general impression. Therefore I say: Goseanna!

ABV: 7.0%. Hazy - murky medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine - citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple - mango - mellon, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity yeast, fruity, rich fruit, pineapple - mango - mellon, fruity hops, fresh, rich, pine - citrus, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210715]

Sample, thanks fonefan! Hazy pale amber, mid sized head. Aroma of tangerine and grapefruit. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Tangerine and grapefruit, some marzipam and syrup, Fairly low bitterness.

Couleur dorée trouble, col fin crémeux tenace blanc.
Arôme offre un bouquet plaisant, retrouve des effluves de baies - mûres, avec de belles effluves de fruits à noyaux, d'abricot, avec une pointe de mangue. Bouquet fruité tropical et herbacé qui s'ouvre avec un petit temps à t° ambiante.

Palais est bien boozy avec une amertume franche qui tranche bien avec le côté malté qui apporte un côté grains/céréales avec un fini un peu poussiéreux voire sur léger velouté de peau d'abricot. Fini un peu poudreux du dry-hop avec une touche de hop burn - poudre d'oignon en fin de bouche avec une pointe de léger boisé, le tout gardant pas mal de l'approche neipa.
