Description

Very good, dense yellowish head fed by quite lively & fine carbonated ochre-golden beer. Herbal, peppery, lightly coloured malts, dried spices & leaves. Bit toasted flavour, bitter toast; walnut in the very finish. EU hops overlying some quite persistent restsugars. Welcome bitterness upon a more classical blonde maltbeer, balance achieved. Txs to Stef!

Huge, dense & fine faintly cream-coloured head over deep red-brown beer, extremely lacey appearance. Nutty, as lightly roasted nuts, liquorice, nutcookies. More smoked/ashy in the mouth; still some sweetness, faint liquorice and still quite nutty. Medium to well-bodied, very well-carbonated, smooth. Not half bad. Txs to Stef!

Towering, dense & fine yellowish tinted head over fully hazy ochre-orange beer. Herbal/spicy nose, unidentifyable but definitely spicy; yeast and sweet. Spicy, quite fiery MF and flavour. Toast, yeastfeatures, human sweat. Quite some restsugars however; Quite chewy, well-bodied (much for a "tripel"), well-carbonated. The moniker "tripel" sits uneasy on this one. Belgian strong blonde would be more apt (sweetness, lacking attenuation, etc.) Txs to Stef!

Good off-white head over lively carbonated orange-golden beer. Felt, hairdresser lotions, almonds, rosewater. The same as above in the mouth, with a (light) chili-burn backthroat. Old books, capsicum, nuts, light oxydation. Initially the chili kept in check, but ultimately it accumulates way too heavily. Don't get me wrong. I love Thai, Indian, Szechuan cuisines and their capsicain bite. But beer is supposed to be refreshing in some way, not pushing you to the water tap. Txs to Stef!

33cl bottle (3,7%) from Prik&Tik Kampenhout, Belgium. F: medium, egg-white, good retention. C: gold, hazy. A: malty, bit raspberries, bit red berries, candy. T: light malty, tomato juice, tabasco, salt, lime juice, some spices, medium carbonation, taste is bit better than aroma, it is inspired by Mexican beer cocktail (best compared to a Bloody Mary with beer), partially enjoyed.
