Malm Feb 2024 tasting Part 2 - big exotic juicy fruity aroma and taste, lots of tropical and citrus action, full bodied, solid hoppy finish.
Rare (for me) Meridian hops in this Other Half collab, tasty and well supported by the heavyweight hop stalwarts of cashmere citra, lots of juicy fruity citrus and tropical goodness here on offer, soft creamy sweet malty backbone, robust hoppy close.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Very light malts, a pleasing light creamy sweetness. The hop fruits are startlingly intense here. Cooling pine into intense tangerine, mandarin and pomelo. A little tangy ripe lemon. Think the description says Kumquat and I certainly understand why. Touch of citrus peel. Fair dose of hop spice on the light and semi dry finish. Fabulous! Wonderful hop intensity.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Light malts, a light creamy sweetness. Light cooling pine. Warhorses Citra and Galaxy deliver a good broad spectrum fruitiness with mango and pineapple rising above the good soft citrus. A mildly tangy citrus. Mellow hop spice on the soft finish but, it bites more in the aftertaste. Another very good dipa from this top class NY brewery.

Can. Hazy gold beer, a good size and pleasingly persistent pale cream colour head. Airy palate, slightly soft but reasonable fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Airy pale malts, a nice ephemeral creamy sweetness. The hops bring soft pine and very nice mandarin and tangerine enlivened by a light lemony streak and a little hop spice. Soft pineapple, sat well back. Touch of berry fruits even further back. Finishes airy and mildly dry with some hop spice starting to bite. A light and juicy hop Tipa that goes down very easily indeed.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light fluffy pale malts, a lovely light creamy sweetness. Soft cooling pine. Lovely fruity hops. Melon and a little candyish red berry. Trace of Zappa skittles. Soft Motueka lime. Whisper of savoury skunk, barely there. Pinch of hop spice. Light finish. A delight, very inventive hop usage.

Can. Color: Hazy orange, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, mix of citrus and tropical fruit, spicy hints. Taste: Hoppy, some tropical fruit, subtle lime and kiwi notes, spicy hints. Smooth malty base. Just over medium body, average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light bitterness, very light fruity sourness. Nice complexity for this style.
