Description
Brewer of atypical beers focused on the qualitative use of ingredients and developing products with respect.
We make beer, cider and Mead.

At the beginning of 2020, the brewery was officially started with a small installation that could be used to brew approximately 60 to 80 liters per brew. In order to be able to brew a little more and, above all, to be more practical and easier to brew, we scaled up in September 2020 to a brewing installation of 150 liters.

Draught No head; copperish golden beer. Apples, brown candi sugar, cinnamon baked apples, faint sour apple acidity. Lemon, sour apple, applecore, again traces of brown candi sugar. Lactic acid and fruitacid(s). Bit sherry-like, if sweeter. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slick. Not bad.

Bottle from Zythos. Hazy black, small, tan head. Aroma of coffee cream, mocha, brandy, wood, liqueur-filled pralines. Taste has sweetish raisin & pear in milk-chocolatey, creamy malt body with a soft bitter mocha note. Herbal hoppy finish, wood, some spices and warming brown rum-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Tasty, but doesn't necessarily thrive on a sherry profile.

5/I/23 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) or from the brewery itself, can’t remember, shared @ home, BB: XI/2023, bottled: XI/2020 (2023-46) Thanks to Fre for sharing the can!

SLOW GUSHER ALERT!
Clear dark brown to black beer, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: sourish impression, smells like a flemish red ale, not like a stout… a bit earthy, some tobacco, acidic, some balsamic vinegar, yeasty, nail polish remover. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty roasted, a bit sweet, rather sourish as well, earthy, some dark chocolate, bitter. Aftertaste: caramel, a little medicinal, pretty sourish, earthy, funky, red berries, whisky notes, alcohol, bitter and roasted in the finish, some whisky, herbal touch, ok. Tastes like an infected beer if you ask me.

Very good greyish tinted cream head, stable, over carmine red-shot, almost black beer, very attractive. Cognac jumps out of the glass whilst pouring; dark malts, dark fruit as blue grapes; also wood, mushrooms. Chocolate in the oral cavity, cacao, mushrooms again, sweet brandy (dark Pineau des Charentes, if you can mentally form that), liquorice, wood. Pretty well-bodied, good carbonation, almost chewy. Palate is quite balanced, texture quite velvety. Good, if certainly not stellar.

Bottle from Hopduvel. GUSHER alert. Hazy ochre, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of orange, oxidized mandarin peel, plum, funky peach, unripe pineapple, honey, vanilla. Taste has sweetish peach & plum, sourish mandarin & lemon in a honeyish malt body. Tart finish with funky citrus, some clove-like phenols and warming white rum-like alcohol - all in all clearly infected. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Base beer is practically ruined and the barrel treatment drowns in infection. Too bad!

20 August 2022. At 12de Gents Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Pieter & the whole crew!

Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head. Aroma of caramel sauce, sugared peanut, fig, date, pear syrup, almond, brandy, wet wood. Taste has sweet candied plum, date & pear in a thick malt body of caramel, milk chocolate, almond & very slight toast. Herbal hoppy finish offering dried fruits, caramel, spicy liquorice (bit ethereal) and warming brandy alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, average carbonation. Just a tiny bit too spicy but otherwise quite to my taste.
