Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a creamy, finger thick mocha head. Aroma is sweet with fruits, almost on the brink of sweets but in a good way, as well as a good dose of roasted malts. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts and molasses, as well as an ever so slightly note of alcohol and a burned finish.

Got this at a bar in SP, don’t know the price, I neither have seen the label before tasting, just said as "cerveza escura". It poured red, slightly hazed, big offwhite head. Something roasted on the nose. Aroma was pretty straight with roasted malts and ale fermentation that left a fruity tone. But i didn’t expect this to be a massive 9.2%, i thought around 6-7%. Nicely bodied, dry and spicy finish.
Already got a couple of other Baden Baden, and this was good too. At least considering the offer in this country, where special beers are a niche.

60cl bottle from Alphaville, SP, 7.5%, contains stabilizer (ins 405) and antioxidant (ins 316). Pours pitch black with a nice brown creamy head. Nose of toasted malts. Aroma is full of toasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Strong bitterness too. Finish is long, toasted, spiced. Carbonation is moderate and body is almost full. Nice one, similar to Guinness Special Export .

600cl bottle at Ibis Tamboré, 5.2%. Hazy dark yellow with a nice sustained white head. Fresh on the nose. Aroma is quite floral, wheaty, soflty spiced, an almond tone, moderately fruity, a touch of yeast. Taste is neither sweet or bitter, light and balanced with a soft hoppiness, gently acidic and a bit of tartiness. Body is light to medium, crisp, dry, right carbonation. Good weiss considering being done far away from it’s mother land. Appreciated, OK.

Bottle, shared with VANØ Bergen. Pours very dark, although not quite black, with a thick, creamy head. Aroma is roasted chocolate malts, cocoa and coffee. Nice flavour with a bit more of a punch, which includes roasted malts, coffee and, somewhat surprising, notes of smoky peat, together with some sweet notes of caramel and burned sugar.

Dark red. Lots of caramel aroma and flavor. All malt, lightly sweet, with considerable alcohol on the palate. Herbal finish. It could use some age, but a solid beer.
