Description
ere you will find multi award winning beers being produced in our specially converted barn set in a quiet wooded valley in West Sussex.

We particularly enjoy brewing old style beers such as porters, stouts and milds. We also produce an extensive range of pale beers and never miss an opportunity to create something new.

Our brewery is set in a beautiful rural location with a quirky little taproom and peaceful outdoor spaces.

Cask-conditioned at the Minehead Beer Festival, 8/09/2012. Dark brown with a decent, off-whit head. Aroma of dark fruits, with a hint of coffee and demerara sugar. Flavour had more fruit, with some roastiness and gently bitter finish. Good.

Served via gravity dispense at the Battersea Beer Festival (Feb โ€™12). Pours a mid clear golden colour with a thin white head clearing quickly to a few bubbles. Slight caramel nose and a little malt in the background, but not powerful enough aromaโ€™s in my opininion, when compared to other beers of this style! The taste also lacked for me. Hop bitterness on the palate and in the aftertaste, and a little fruit in there as well, but largely bland! Medium body, low carbonation, bitter dry aftertaste. Overall a pretty average beer and not one I would bother going back to, certainly not at a beer festival, but may perhaps try again if I see it in cask in a pub!?!

Cask gravity at Kent BF 2012. Hmmm not sure about this. Funny aroma maybe some grape then some hop on finish but not sure this is quite ready to be drunk. Pepper hop finish is ok.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Hazy amber beer, little white head. Smooth but dry palate. Semi crisp. Slightly odd taste. Resinous hops. Tart orange with what tastes like lemongrass and spices. Initially a bit jarring but improves as the palate gets over the shock. Dry finish, mildly bitter aftertaste.
