20th August 2016
Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and fairly dry, good fine minerally crispness. Tangy orange, some marmalade, Touch of fresher orange. Floral bitter finish, It’s quite drinkable but overall feels a little hollowed out and recessed.

Bomber from Hi-Time in Costa Mesa, CA. Pours a lightly copper tinged gold with a transient white head. Aroma of citrus and floral perfume with maybe a hint of spice. Med body. Flavor starts very rye and the malt is covered by floral and likely citrus hop. It’s pretty ryeish, and pretty tasty. Leaves a nice rye bitter in the finish.

Bomber from CraftShack. 7.75% ABV. Pours light amber with no head. Aroma is caramel and perhaps light stone fruit. Med body, maybe. Flavor is caramel, arguably diacetyl, and .... I’m not likin’ this much. Finishes a little bitter, but ...

Bottle indicates from Irvine venue. So bomber from CraftShack. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is earthy, touch of caramel, hint of citrus. Full bodied, or nearly. Flavor is very earthy, supported by a decent amount of malt, but the hops is the whole thing here. I’m getting hop burn. Quite sure it’s not an alcohol burn, cause my gullet isn’t complaining. This is as clean as an earthy ale can get. Really messes with my mouth. Likin’ this a whole lot.
