Dorée portant un léger voile, col blanc.
Arôme est plaisant laissant de belles effluves de barrique. Retrouve des effluves de Chardonnay - fin boisé, touche de funk, finement vineuse - fruité plaisant se dégage.
Palais garde une fine approche maltée - classique belge, le tout est finement rehaussée par la mise en barrique. Un peu tannique, fleuri, raisin blanc - Chardonnay avec une petite pointe acidulée/funk en fin de bouche.

Bottle. Hazy golden coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is spiced and fruity, and the flavour is warmingly spiced with ginger heat and bitterness coming through, with a long finish. Overall a nice Belgium ale.

33cl bottle. Pours medium hazy golden with fine white foam. Aroma is delicate of honey and fruity. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium sweet, with very limited bitterness. Final is average.

9/VI/20 - 33cl bottle from Oxfam Wereldwinkel (Gent), shared @ home, BB: V/2021 (2020-482)
Clear deep blond beer, big towering creamy irregular off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit sweet, malty, grains, bit spicy, cow fodder, banana, some marzipan. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, yeast, alcohol, banana, grains, bit spicy. Aftertaste: little chemical, pretty bitter, sweet, very yeasty, ripe banana, dry, bit medicinal, rubbery finish. Not very good.
Paired with an Indian veggie curry, which was pretty ok.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een wit schuim. Het aroma is moutig en wat gistachtig. De smaak is fruitig, gistachtig en licht zoet.

Blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of peachy notes and a little mandarin too. Very soft texture. Easy to drink.

Clear ruby purple to brown beer, big creamy beige head, stable, adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, caramel, bit hoppy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, quite some caramel, little bitter and hoppy, bit of unripe banana, bitter. Aftertaste: hint of chocolate, malty, nice bitterness, soft acidity, nice and dry finish, slightly roasted.

Pours a slightly hazy intense red, with a not too big but dense and quite persistent head. Rather strong aroma shows a dominant sweetness of caramel and slight honey with quite intense, mature red fruit notes. Perhaps a tad of alcohol warmth too. Taste follows the aroma with a very light peppery plus. The beer is overall very sweet, with slight balancing provided by a hint of acidity and by some earthy bitterness in finish and aftertaste. Complex and interesting, perhaps a bit too sweet for my liking and not perfectly clean, especially in that semi-sweet/semi-earthy finish. Medium bodied, actually quite light for the abv, with average kind of dense-like carbonation, resulting in a semi-full but still easy mouthfeel. Not a prosaic one.
