Description

330ml bottle from ORB Easter Belgium Beer Festival 2019. Black brown colour, beige foam head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of dark fruity, malt, roasty, chocolate. Taste is tart fruity, malt, roasty, dark chocolatey, with some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry roasty booy finish. Quite drinkable.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma fine cappuccino persistente, colore marrone/nero, al naso caffè e solvente, in bocca cioccolato fondente caffè, corpo rotondo, watery (nooo per un’ Imperial Stout) alcool ben bilanciato, acidula, lieve astringente carbonazione moderata, attacco dolce con amaro moderato. Bevuto di gran lunga meglio. Manca di carattere. Difettosa? c. Luppoli e Uva Varese 12.04.19

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma beige media grana media persistenza, color ambrato carico limpido, al naso lieviti belgi malto tostato spezie caramello banana, in bocca malto caramello spezie frutta secca, carbonatazione moderata, corpo rotondo, secca con amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. L’alcool è un po’ troppo invadente. Secondo poco equilibrata e troppo sbilanciata sull’amaro. c. Luppoli e Uva Varese 29.03.19

Huge thanks to JefVerstraete for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Ber in the glass dark brown, small head. Dry malty aroma with a fruity touch. Starts fine malty, light roasty. Some light sourish hints, some chocolate. Fruity hints of berries. Finish well balanced. Nice!

Bit frothy white head, slowly retreating over bit hazy, heavily carbonated golden beer. Wey-ish, grains, sweet pale malts, but also yeast (fairly heavily) & spices, including coriander. Bitterish for a second, then sweet & grainy (especially milkripe wheat). Again, if more mutely, spicy yeast. Really very fizzy carbonation. Slick, light to medium bodied. Sweetish, overcarbonated.... pfff... where is it better than ordinary Belgian pilsener?
