16 oz. bottle shared at Ashley's house. Thanks Ashley! Light coffee and strong booze aroma. Pitch black pour with a small beige head and fair retention. Sweet coffee and sweet molasses stout flavor. Definitely a pasty stout. Smoother than expected. A bit more molasses and booze flavor than I like. Okay.

Can from Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours hazy gold with a very large foamy white head that laced down. Aroma is peach and pineapple. Med body at least. Almost dry; barely sour; fruity. Peach, pineapple and some sort of herb. Pale malt base. Quite quaffable.

A no-brainer purchase of a bomber last spring at the Trader Joe's off North Central Expressway in Dallas because it was less than $10. Seemed like old times, a big bottle at a good price. I have a snifter from a Ft. Worth brewery in place for the pour, the chocolate scent is immediately noticeable along with vanilla and dark berries. The color is a dark brown, almost black with a sparse ring of tan, very fine bubbles. A drink now, yes, this a value purchase. Plenty of chocolate, coffee, some roastiness, vanilla, malt and wood. I would have liked a more substantial sensation, a shame to produce a decent beer like this and not have it. I call this a pleasant surprise in any case.

Aromas are dark malt, cocoa, a bit of roast and dirty socks. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, more sweet than bitter with soft carbonation. A touch of anis in there. Probably the best beer I've ever had from this brewery.

Bomber my daughter has had for a couple years. Nose is chocolate, marshmallow, and a hint of roasty expresso. Black with a medium, lightly lacing tan head. Flavor is tiramisu all over, expresso forward, marshmallow, shortbread, and chocolate.

Bottle thanks to Hiromi. Pours a almost pitch black hue with a small beige head. A light nose of anise and some bourbon. Sweet dark chocolates, more anise, sweet vanilla and bourbon. Very thin palate. Not bad at all.
