I found a 12 oz can of Wreck Room on the singles rack yesterday at the nearest supermarket. It is now cooled off and I'm ready to sample. The view is a yellow-orange body with an off-white head. I smell pineapple and hops. A drink delivers cedar, grapefruit, biscuit, a mango sweetness and a hoppy bitterness. Definitely a sensation of dryness. Decent in a style with a gazillion options to choose from.

I’ve had Thunder Hug put away for over a year since buying a two-12 oz can stack-pack at The Cellar in Odessa. Surprised nobody has rated it before now. A barrel-aged imperial stout? Right down my alley, one of my favorite styles. I have a snifter from an Austin brewery for this pour, an extremely dark, mostly black body with brown highlights. The head comes in a medium brown and settles promptly. An inviting nose, dark chocolate with a boozy background. A drink ultimately, ah, nice. A big chocolate presence, caramel, cereal, berry and wood. Not the best imperial stout but pretty doggone fine

On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is bready malt and cocoa. Slick body, toasted malt, sweet fruit, light boozy finish, very good.

My craft beer store carries Wild Acre beers, I’ve had a couple. I picked up this 12 oz can of Pinch & Twist there some time ago. Time to bring it out of the fridge for a taste. I’m pouring it into a tumbler glass on this very warm Friday evening and determine an opaque, orange-yellow liquid with an appreciated, full, totally white head, some lacing perhaps. The smell has some cut grass to it and citrus, no surprise. And the taste is even better, nice for a pedestrian style. Lemon, grapefruit, just a touch of sweetness and a decent finishing bitterness. Better than expected.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours a clear dark bronze color with a large beige head and great retention. Spots of lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Strong caramel malt flavor with just a bit of hops bitterness. Crisp mouthfeel. Clean and smooth. Not quite as sweet as I prefer, but well done.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine in Denton, TX. Pours an opaque dark bronze color with a huge rocky beige head and annoyingly great retention. Good lacing. Light caramel malt aroma. Lots of continuous carbonation bubbles. Smooth and clean caramel malt flavor, much like a Vienna lager. Lightly sweet and no bitterness. Nice.

Sour aroma with hazy yellow color. Sour acid taste with an underlying sweetness. Citrusy tart flavors of fruit at the finish as the acid sour fades.

Can [from unexpected gift box from KevinReddirt] at home. Clear amber color, full sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, sticky heavy resinous, heavy piney hoppiness. Bloody hell this blew me away, I love this. Flavor is the same: solid to heavy malt base, super resinous hoppy and piney, toasted malts, caramel lightly and thank god: a firm hop and malt bitterness. Delicious. Medium to full body, oily texture, medium carbonation. Kevin, you sure found me the right beer. Many thanks! 9-4-9-5-18.
