Description
A modest jewel in the Luxembourgish brewing world, Brasserie Simon is both a keeper of the soul of good beer and a creative rebel. Rich in its independence, the company emphasizes the quality of its products and customer service to strengthen its Luxembourg roots.
At Brasserie Simon, we take the time: our fermentation process is still separated into two stages as we did always: a main fermentation in open vats which is followed by maturation in closed vats. A small craft brewery since 1824, Brasserie Simon is the only brewery in Luxembourg to have the latest generation open fermentation tanks guaranteeing the taste of real beers from the past.

On tap at Konrad, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out pine needles, earthy notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is very restrained, with herbal notes, pine needles, and gentle earthy hops. Nothing special here. Drinkable but that's it.

On tap at Konrad, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out skunky notes and little grass. Flavour is rather skunky, with straw, grassy notes, and cereal notes. Not very sophisticated - herbal and skunky. Lame.

330mL bottle at Hotel Empire bar (1st floor), pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out coriander upfront, with soft wheat and a little citrus. Flavour is bright and citrusy, with a decent spicy coriander character upfront, followed by citrus, and soft pillowy wheat. Clean and easy.

Fles gekocht in Luxemburg. Het is een goudgeel licht troebel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig en wat zoetig. Opzich niet verkeerd.

Bottle from Grima, thanks! Pale blonde, cloudy. Citrus, wheat and coreander in the aroma and flavor. Traubenzucker. Short aftertaste. My wife liked it.

Bottle from Grima, thanks! pale blonde. Hint of oil in the aroma. Oily grainy flavor with a hint of weird sweet apple. Must be the sprakling wine. Not an entirely clean mouthfeel. Don’t really like it.
