Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark amber with some transparency along the sides with a small cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet and tart elderberries, light lemon tones and an even lighter grassy character
Flavor: tart and sour up front though the prior noted aromas with a finish of elderberry tart and semi-sour aspect
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper as plenty of sour pucker seems to slam the tongue as I expected it to
Overall: nicely done elderberry sour ale I would return to.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: copper color with no head and no lace
Aroma: tart raspberries, underlying sweet tones of the raspberries, subtle funk, light grassy tones
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a tart to sour and light funky sweet character; finishes semi-tart with the raspberries
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper, plenty of tart/sour features that pummel the tongue - not exactly much smoothness but also some dryness
Overall: pretty good sour fruit ale I would welcome again.

Bottled. Barnyard and by that I mean actually real manure. I appreciate a good yeasty funk but this was a dirty diaper. With apples!
