On tap at the barrel house in Visalia as part of a sampler. Must better than most pepper-based IPAs. The habanero is subtle on both the aroma and the flavor, with just a slight bit of heat at the end.

When you're 50% trying to figure out why a beer tastes so good and 50% trying not to chug it cause it tastes so good. Never heard of a pluot but man it's a wonderful sweet and tart mixture. Tastes a lot like apple and plum but really apricot and plum.

Bomber from La Riviera. Pours very dark brn/blk with a tall creamy/bubbly tan head. Aromas of maple, vanilla and wood. Near full bodied. Flavor is vanilla, maple, dark treacle/toffee and some not too musty wood. There's a whiskey aspect - makes the bit of heat a flavor. Somewhat towards dry. Seems bitter, but that could be the whiskey impression. Interesting. Tasty. Nicely done.

Bottle c&c, batch 1303, Vintage 2013, May 2015 release. Pours translucent and ruddy with a slight off-white head. Aroma is just musty for me. Med body or so. Flavor is quite tart/sour; there's malt that fits sour red/brown; there's some acidity. It's not entirely dry; not getting lead, but plum is in it - or some similar medium dark seeded fruit. Could be some Cabernet from the barrel I suppose. There's a trace hint of a BFM/solvent thing. Prior ratings are about 3 years old. I'm thinking this stuff has really improved over time. Pleasingly tart. Musty oak (ala BFM) is finally getting clearly discernible. My take: BFM would be proud to be able to bottle this!

This brew is a hazy orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of mango, herbal hop and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a mango and hop aftertaste. Above average overall.
