500 c&c from Corti Bros. Pours somewhat hazy gold with a transient white head. Aroma of funky pluots. Med minus body. Flavor is rather acidic - like sour fruit with some funk along for the ride. A little burn on a lip cut. It tends to suggest apricot over time. Fortunately the acidity/sour muffles the appropriate taste buds, so it becomes reasonably approachable rather quickly. Which allowed the wood funk to stand out a bit. Somewhat challenging, but quite good.

Bomber from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours hazy lemony gold with a fizzy, transient white head. There's a great deal of passion fruit in the aroma. Med body or so. Flavor is juicy passion fruit. Finally an ale with enough passion for me to be sure it's passionate. Oh, it's sour, but the fruit blunts any unfortunate excesses of that nature. It's very nice. Very tasty.

Bomber from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours darkly ruddy/coppery with a slight beige/tan head. Aroma of rum, darkish treacle, leather and brown sugar. Med ++ body - but not really full bodied. Flavor is nice rum, darkish treacle and brown sugar. Leathery notes in and out. It's far from dry, and not at all bitter. The rum and flavors tend to offset the malt/sweet. At least a little. It's extremely nice to drink. Heat doesn't seem bothersome. Some minutes later: There's actually a plummy dark fruit aspect coming into the long finish. Nice that.

355ml bottle, take-out from Tilt. Pours a murky orange, bubbly white head. Aroma has pleasant citric lime. Taste has a similarly light citrus character, some light exotic nods, some juice, medium-sweet malt presence. Decent IPA.
