About
Matteo & Cristina Minelli founded Birra Flea in 2013, with the dream of showing their love for the town of Gualdo Tadino and combining the best traditions with an innovative approach. They decided to create a product with a very strong local identity: a beer containing the best fruits of their hometown. The output is 55.000 hectoliters of Italian craft beer per year!

Birra Flea is produced from the well-known waters of Gualdo Tadino and the best malts - 100% Italian barley - produced and selected from the Minelli's farm. Birra Flea is produced with only wheat and barley malts - no other unmalted grains - and is both unfiltered and unpasteurized. It is refermented in the bottle in order to preserve its organoleptic properties, without the addition of preservatives and chemical additives.

Sentori di orzo vanno a dare soddisfazione al naso. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il piano sottostante si presenta opalescente. Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è giallo dorato torbido. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è normale e la durata è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il finale è farinoso, pulito e dissetante. Sul tetto della bocca si fermano indizi di miele, cereali, agrumi e banana.

Il gusto al naso resta attratto da speziato e orzo tostato. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma color ocra resiste poco. Le bollicine sono grandi. Il liquido è di apparenza opaca. Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è normale. La continuità gustativa è sufficiente. Sul tetto della bocca si depositano note di miele, amaretto, luppolo, resina, agrumi e frutta secca.

Premetto che sia l'aroma che il gusto è simile alle birre che faccio io neo homebrewer. bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma fine beige media persistenza, colore ambrato torbido, al naso è sbilanciata va tutto sui lieviti poi malto e frutta tropicale, in bocca ancora malto uva frutta tropicale lieve pompelmo, corpo rotondo, astringente, carbonazione moderata, attacco dolce con amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. Cloudy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma toasted malts, toffee, butter scotch, honey, biscuit, light apricot. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, toffee, fruity, some biscuit. Sweetbitter aftertaste, sticky sugar, bit boozy, light spicy touch. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, unbalanced impression, too sweet for a bitter but otherwise a nice brew.

7 3 7 3 15 Bottle at an Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. Very hazy orange light brown with a white head. Aroma of green weedy hops, herbal hops, light fruits, orange and caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

75cl bottle. Pours hazy slightly orange gold with evanescent white foam, fine. Aroma is orange peel and spiced, as expected. Body is slightly light with intense carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet and citrusy. Some spicing is present in the finish, despite its relatively short length.
