Bottle, thanks Bierkrug! Cloudy orange-brown, golden head. Spicy roasted and citric aroma. Burned caramel, herbal citrus, orangepeel, bready notes. Chewy full body, light sparkly mouthfeel. Light sticky on the palate. Roast and citrus aftertaste.

Bottle, thanks a lot Bierkrug. Attractive orange golden clouds, pearling carbonation, fluffy lacing eggshell head. Citrus, ginger and light coriander aroma. Medium to light chewy body, mellow mouthfeel. Citrus, light banana on the palate, a hint vanilla. Ends on a slightly too thin note, quite refreshing and pleasant though. Ginger in the aftertaste.

Tap. Toffee malt, sour milk malt and hay hops aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and moderately bitter fresh hay/grass hops flavor. Excellent - a dunkel that is fruity and hoppy.

#200 German beer tried not to mention a local, thanks Kyle Brock my neighbor for supporting my habit. Bottle swing top: Poured a dark brown with a reddish hazy outline in the light, head is a thin to medium jello beige. Aroma is sweet caramel, malt, and some fruit. Taste is a malty/fruit mix, very interesting and undescribable. I couldn’t be happier with this beer.

Cloudy blond color; big head. The aroma has both some spices and banana. The body is medium thin, it’s missing some consistent body, even if there is a balanced spicy and fruity (banana) flavor. Dryish, but dynamic. Pleasant.

Deep blond color; creamy head. It has a nice malt aroma, some cereals. Smooth mouthfeel, with some cereals and malt aroma, light residual sweetness; this one as well lacking of hop and bitterness, otherwise it would be a good Helles.

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy chestnut color. The aroma is very mild. The flavor too is not exciting, with some mild caramel and nothing else; it has a very low bitterness. Drinkable, refreshing Dunkel, but too simple.

500ml flip-top bottle brought home from Trier. Bottom fermented beer that pours a cloudy, orange body under a dense, white foamy head, reduced to a filmy layer after a short while. Moderate blend aroma of hops and malts. Pale malty taste followed by grain-like sweetness with fruity hops beneath. Dry ending. Fairly well made German Helles (Tromsø, 18.10.2007).
