From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and beadish. Bitter, roasted malty, smooth and breadish to caramelish. Bitter and dry finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small, creamy and dense head. Aroma is mild fruity. Bitter, fruity, light yeasty and peachy to grapefruity. Bitter and mild yeasty finish.

At 1516. Misty yellow-golden body, white head. Husky malty aroma, slightly tart. Typical brewpub lager, yeasty, grainy, fresh.Not much hop bitterness. Slightly soapy but not in some bad way. Does its job well.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber-orange body, off white head. Sweetish herbal-chalky hoppy nose. Fruity-mango and herbal hoppy taste. More complex than expected. Ends slightly too dry, missing some malty base to hold te bitterness in check, but without doubt a good beer.

Eejit Oatmeal Stout (Whole Leaf Hopped). Almost pitch black. Cappuccino nose. Very light caramel. Soft, light body, lovely notes of milk coffee, fine roastiness. Quality stuff, +1 aroma, +1 palateEejit’s Oatmeal Stout. Extremely dark brown-black body. Tan thick white head. Dusty nose, vaguely chocolatey, sweetish aroma hop. Faint though. Light soft body, with bitter-tart herbal aroma hop. Subdued roasty maltiness. Expected more to be honest. Perfumey little thing that ends a bit yeasty. Not their best beer but still cool.

1516, draught. Hazy golden body, small white head. Fine sweet soapy spicy nose. Reminds me of a spiced mead I’ve had recently. Sweetish malty spicy taste, bitterish aftertaste that seems to come from the spices as much as from hops. The soft malty background connects everything nicely. It’s damn juicy overall. Heck, I like this more than I expected.

Draught at 1516. Lovely, misty full amber body. Small thick white head. Hoppy, piney, slightly yeasty aroma. Quality I2PA. Very strong taste dominated entirely by the bitterness, dry, ashy, slightly piney. Agrumes show up as well a little. The malty background is slightly too subdued and not as full as it should be (though I kinda prefer that to a sticky bittersweet mess). Not the best one I’ve had but the ’hype’ is well deserved - or was initially when there were fewer "alternatives". 3.7 first time, 3.4-3.5 now I guess.

2.0 -whole leaf hoppes draught at 1516. Deep red-amber body, small offwhite head. Creamy soft yeasty nose, slightly roasty, slightly fruity. Ehm... Velvety soft fruity hoppy taste, vaguely chocolatey in the back. A fine fruity hop presence builds on that though not as wild as I expected. Solid bitter hop at. Not convinced that this is the beer I ordered but I was assured twice that it was so...
