Jan. ’16. On tap at the brewpub. It poured a hazy amber body with a big head atop. Pleasant cascade aroma, sharp orange with fruits and biscuit malt. Flavor was lightly to moderately bitter, a bit herbal with only a little bit of malt that made thin to medium in body. Still smooth, light, not bothering chalky yeast persists as a trademark of the brewery, judged by the first twoo beers. Finish was longer, dry bitter. As I like to say, simple and effective. Quite a pleasant APA.

Jan. ’16. On tap at the brewpub. It poured a hazy yellow body with a big head atop. Strong aroma of fine herbal and citrus hops but not in that aggressive "crafty" way, with all the same couple of hops used in every bloody style and marketed as "21st century ____(whatever)". Anyhow, light malt, honey and grainy in aroma too. Fine, lightly bitter flavor where typical herbal and lightly earthy hop blended nicely with some grainy and honey malt, like anticipated in aroma, with a touch of chalky yeast typical for the style. Full body with only a lightly bitter and chalky smooth finish. Congratulations, this is a very nice zwickl.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Aroma has lots of roastiness, coffee and dark chocolate. Only lightly hoppy. Taste feels more like classic CDA, lots of resiny grassy hops, only complementary roast. Quite good, well attenuated, easy drinking.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Rich complex maltiness, yet maintaining careful balance. Lots of chocolate, cocoa, roasted coffee notes. Also dark fruits. Full bodied with some warmth towards the finish. Finish also reveals dryness and subtle grassy hoppiness. Very good.

Draught at the brewpub.
Amber, clear body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, orange, grass, passion fruit, biscuit.
Tastes of grapefruit, passion fruit and some other tropical fruits, orange, grass, biscuit.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, moderate dry, zesty, grassy, a bit herbal, a bit malty.
Nice one. Fully aromatic and with a nice hop bite, but still well drinkable and balanced, with a good malt body. Not my favourite IPA from Austria, but among the better ones.

Draught at the brewpub.
Dark amber, moderate hazy body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, yellowish head.
Aroma of citrus, orange, passion fruit, red berries, some grass, caramel, some bubblegum.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, a bit sweet, fruity, zesty, a bit grassy.
Nice one. Quite simple, but easy drinkable and well balanced, with a sweet malt body and enough hops. Nothing outstanding, but really quaffable.
