Keg at Links Taproom - Chicago. Pours clear gold with a smal, creamy white head. Crispy pale bread in the nose, faint citrus notes. Light-medium sweet flavour with hints of lemon zest, orange peels, dry pale bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean to finish, if a little restrained. Fine.

A golden ipa with a thin white lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light fruity esters, a bit light but nice. In mouth, a rather strange mix of coconut oil and caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, strange, a bit cloying. On tap at Binny’s Lincoln Park.

Sample glass at Standard Market. Light, slightly sweet malt nose without the usual clove or banana. Bit of haze with a thin head over yellow body. Taste had some coriander and maybe, what, hazelnuts? Kumquat? Turns out to be off even for a lower alcohol weizen. The recipe just needs more work.

Guest draft at the Lagunitas Beer Circus, June 6. Fruity nose, but as with some other saisons, I get a bit of soap in the nose. That’s why I’m calling it sudsy foam over a light beer color. Tate is nice and fruity, with a trace of raisins to back it up. Plenty of Cream Ale malt, and a spatzrl of yeast to go with.
