Backlog. Hazy pale yellow pour with a white head. It smells of wheat, yeast, and spice. It’s sweetish with wheat and yeast and a little spice. Light. It’s kind of underwhelming.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Prune and cacao nib on the nose with warming bourbon and light oak aromas. More of the same on the palate with some roasted coffee and molasses that comes out. More bourbon. A bit thin on the palate, but overall pretty solid...especially for the price point.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a dark brown to black with a small bit of beige head. Lots of maple syrup and cinnamon on the nose. More of the same on the palate. Some maple kit kat vibes. More cinnamon. Light on the barrel, but as it warms up some slight warming bourbon notes come out I guess.

Big pounder can. 3$ at chalet in north lime, nice place. Nose is cranberry, not artificial. Foamy all over the place head goes down. It a craggy slightly pink head. This head thing happens with every top off. The taste is so tart. This is more like a real lambic, not a gose. Yes, it is that wildly tart. If it is a gose, it lacks any of that so called salt. This stuff is so tart It makes me pucker and shudder after every swig. I bet its eating away at my enamel, LOL. Yes, I am really enjoying this session. As a tart wild beer lover, I have not had a beer this far into the PH scale for a while, its got to be a 2! Great beer session, yummy ending.

Pour is pure gold pale ale. Scent is stimulating sweet spice. Taste is big apple on top of rude lager; maybe ale. No, this is not really a sour wildly beer, forgettahbahttit. Its an overly spiced brew with lots of artificial apple and shit spices, oops, I mean flavor. Too much like an apple fruit beer wanna bee with the added cloying spice to cover up and reinforce the artificial aspects. A little out of bounds to allow this to be placed into the same style a as a natural wild brew. Well, in the end, it is what it is. Didn't have high expectation and found out I was correct. To put this into the same style as North Country Lurnberry Sour Ale , Helltown Kriek, Beaver Open Fermented Wild, Draai Laag Red Briar or even Church Brew Sour Piet is a big mistake. Please, separate sour and wild, for beers sake, no pun intended. This beer is not bad overall, it just comes across as unnatural at times. Just a tad of trying to be real. There you have it.

12 ounce bottle. Bright amber gold pour. Large rocky beige head. Citrus aroma hints at orange and grapefruit. Bittersweet citrus hops are balanced by a light crisp malt backbone. Lots of pine and black pepper notes in the dry finish. Some warming alcohol as well.

16 oz can, dated in August 2020. Pours golden with a relatively light haze. Fruity citrus aroma of grapefruit, orange, some grassiness. Flavor is of course citrusy orange and grapefruit, some tropical fruit, some caramel sweetness, grassy hops. Not too bad, but might be better fresher.

12 oz bottle, poured dark brown with modest sized head. Full bodied. Licorice chocolate and maple aroma. Burnt malt with muted maple sweetness in the taste. Charred finish. Much more interesting than I find most oatmeal stouts.

Sampled from the tap at the Beer Grotto A2. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of caramel, marshmallow and a bit butterscotch. Flavor has butterscotch and caramel with a tart green apple in the finish.
