Reviewed from notes.
Thanks Steve.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: copper color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: piney to grapefruity to citrusy hop tones up front then a light floral hop scent underneath; light clean caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fair bright sweet to bittersweet quality; finishes piney & grapefruity
Texture: medium bodied; good sipper; light smoothness
Overall: nicely done TIPA worth coming back to.

Old-school IPA, with a mix of caramel and Cascade pine coupled with notes of orange, grapefruit zest, and citrus pith. Finishes dry with a hint of yeast. Not bad.

12oz canned 12/8/22, drunk 12/25/23. Fizzy, tan head quickly dissipates. Clear, dark mahogany. A lot more peanut butter cup than either malt or barrel. Is there any barrel here? Doesn't smell like it. A somewhat artificial but not too offensive peanut butter aroma. Not boozey, at least. More artificial peanut butter cup flavoring. Fizzy carbonation and close to no barrel character; maybe a bit of liquor warming on the finish. Medium-bodied, a bit thin for its size. Not grossly sweet, but not all that dry, either. More artificial flavor lingering with drying barrel tannin.
