26th May 2019 Can. Vol 3. Citra and Denali. Hazy orange gold beer, tidy bubbly pale cream colour head. Bright nose of pink grapefruit and pine. Light and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft pine. Modest soft hop skunk. Nibbly hop spice. Rich and slightly ripe tropical fruits. Twangy fruits on the back end. Plenty hoppy and plenty of hop satisfaction but it never quite sings.

The Aromas are Citrus hops with pale and caramel malt. Flavors are like nose, slightly sweet Citrus upfront follow up with some burnt sugar caramel malt and lingering bitterness. Decent carbonation okay body with a little medicinal in the Finish.

Lots of gunk in the bottom of the can. Enough that I can feel the weight in the bottom of the can. It looks like the end of a firkin.

13 April 2019. At First Timternational Beer Tasting, Ghent. Cheers to Ghent beer crew! Pours cloudy ochre with an unstable, thinning, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of pineapple, mellow mango, dank onion, sweat, gin, dough, stale lime, overripe, almost mouldy mandarin, vague medicin. Taste is medium fruity sweet, fresher notes of pineapple & mandarin on an oniony & cheesy base; medium hoppy bitter core with bitter mango, mandarin peel, sourish lime in the back, a tad spicy & medicinal. Dryish, floral hoppy finish, hint of hashish & more mellow fruit, some warming alcohol (medicinal again, gin-like) but remaining in check. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Hugely drinkable beer for 11% ABV, quite fresh still in taste, but the aroma was less promising.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy orange/gold with a very slight white head. Tropical aroma - mango/citrus. Med body or a bit better. Flavor is semi-juicy, fruitily undry. Mostly tropical with supportive light malt. The tropical is either pineapple or passionfruit; melon; mango; guava; mild citrus. Lot of fruits hiding in this. Moderately bitter. Very tasty.

Triple NEIPA sampled from a can at the First Great Timternational Beer Geek Tasting in Ghent. Thin and immediately opening, egg-white ring of a head on a completely cloudy yolk-yellow blonde beer with apricot tinge. Aroma a bit impaired by something stinky and sulfuric (sewer water), moldy lemons, old onions, starfruit, sweat, stale lime juice, dough, pineapple. Fruity, very colourful, sweet and juicy onset, lots of pineapple, starfruit, granadilla and mango impressions, medium carbonation but sufficiently 'soft' in mouthfeel for the style, doughy and fluffy with bright citrusy hoppiness built on top, quite lime-like, mango and passionfruit hints as well, mildly spicy and feeling a bit powdery, with that sewer water thing returning retronasally; on the plus side, the alcohol remains almost completely hidden, which is a remarkable feat in a blond beer of 10+% ABV. Interesting one, too bad for that off-putting scent.
