Pours a hazy yellow golden colour and a sticky white head with reasonable retention. Aroma's of soft fruit, grain/caramel malts, light resin. Retronasal it's sweetish, soft fruit, light dank and resinous. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with quite soft carbonation and a light hopburn. Light moderate bitter finish.

Can from about 4 months ago. Pours a hazy golden colour and a firm white head with tiny layer retention and good lacing. Aroma's are mild, sweetish, weet fruit, wheaty, oaty, floral hops. Retronasal it's sweetish, sweet fruit, light resinous, maybe a bit zesty. Flavour is light sweet with a hint of bitter. Light bodied. Finishes light bitter. Too old? Or just not great?

ABV: 5.9%. Murky matt medium yellow to orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy hoppy, stone fruit, peach. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, peach, fruity hops, stone fruit, pale malt - wheat, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20200508]

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly pale tan head. Airy palate, softish, modest fine carbonation. Quite an estery nose, too much so for me. I don't want bubblegum in my Impy. Soft dark malts, a little dark malt cream. Good caramel helping. Tangy ripe fruits. Modest brandy and a little tangy spice. Smooth tangy fruity finish. Hides the abv well enough but it's quite Belgian in nature.

473ml can. Darkest brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, malty aroma, hints of roasted nuts, chocolate cookie, brownie, a touch of treacle and liquorice, vanilla, brown sugar, whiffs of alcohol. Taste is sweet malty, hints of chocolate cookie, brownie, vanilla, a touch of treacle, brown sugar, some booze; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine carbonation. Harmonious, coherent composition, but too sweet overall and way too heavy alcoholic for a relatively restricted outcome. I'd prefer to see brewers not to copy already existing desserts or candies or pastries, and yet using adjuncts to reach that goal, but rather too look for new taste experiences by varieating the compostion of (traditional) ingredients.
