From a 50 cl bottle. Pours a clear deep dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate and cola. Flavors are sweet toffee. Delicious.

16 oz can. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Weak malt backbone with a soft spicy character. Maybe some raisins. Light side of medium body. The majority of this brewery’s beers are flimsy when it comes to body. Pretty standard.

12 ounce can from Niemuth’s, 8/23/23. Hazy gold, thin off-white head, poor retention. Aroma of pale malt, phenols. Weird. Taste is pale malt, a phenolic chemical note. Menthol-ish. This is weird. This is bad. Pass.

Bottle. The Cabernet barrel gives notes of grape and cherry that mesh well with the stout. Problem is the base stout is ridiculously sweet. The barrel helps this out a lot. However, for the price point, I could’ve just bought a bottle of Cabernet. Weekend ender. Time to reset for the coming week.

12 oz can. At the pop of the can, the aroma was bold blueberries soaking in maple syrup. There is some bread malt-like qualities in the flavor. So the brewery nailed the flavor profile. The problem is after 6 ounces, it’s really entirely too sweet to drink. Super sweet.
