50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp hoppy, grapefruity, light pine and peachy. Crisp hoppy, pine and grapefruity, solid fruity and bitter. Lingering fruity into a dry finish.

Bottle at home ... copper ... sweet toffee ... soft jammyfruit ... grapefruit nose ... light bitter hop ... soft toffee ... lots of pine and grapefruit zezty ... long bitter linger ... too bitter for me.

From tap. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, coffee and lingering dark malty. Smooth malt and coffee. Bitter and herbal coffee. Dark malty and smooth caramelish. Bitter and dry finish.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours amber with a thin layer of lace on top, most of which disappears quickly. The nose is juicy citrus, somewhere between grapefruit and oranges. The taste has grapefruit, possibly passion fruit and bitter pine with the grapefruit coming back at the end. The palate has a medium structure with a tangy texture and a long bitter finish. Overall, this is on the cusp between just bitter enough and too bitter.

Gravity Dispense at Wandsworth Common Halloween Beer Festival 2012. Dark mahogony brown with a thin bubbly off white head. Nose comprises coffee beans, roast malt, touch of leather. Tastes of coffee, roast malts, chocolate. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation lending towards a roasty finish.

Cask at the Sheffield Tap. Black pour with a thick tan head and little lacing. Not much in the aroma, but with a peaty, dry flavour that almost sucks the moisture from your mouth! No real bitterness and not much on the palate. I probably should not have enjoyed it, but I did. Considering its a coffee infused stout, there was little in the way of a coffee flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours black with some red hues with a thin but nice fawn crema. The nose has unground coffee beans then cream and burnt toast. The taste has more creamy coffee with a bitter chocolate finish. The palate is medium bodied, rich in texture with a finish that isnβt cloying though which you could not describe as being very clean.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a cloudy golden/amber colour with a nice lacy head. The nose has white flowers with some apricot. The taste has lovely mandarin oranges and some white flowers again. The palate is light to medium bodied and textured with a lovely clean finish. This is lovely!

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a toffee colour with some darker hues, with a nice layer of lace. The nose has grapefruit, some pine. The taste has biscuits, strawberry jam, more grapefruit. The palate has a medium body, a creamy texture and a nice clean but enduring finish. Overall, the rye gives this pale ale more the character of a bitter.
