Draught at Torst: slight hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is light breadiness, hints of flowers, some plant. Taste is dry, low bitterness, mild sweetness. Tasty and easy.

Coffee Milk Stout from Kent Falls Brewing

Canned 11/19, drunk 12/14/18.
Pours a seemingly opaque, ebony with dark mahogany edges and a dark beige head that slowly fades to a ring.
Nose shows a fair amount of lactose, but it's met quickly with milk chocolate, espresso bean and very light vanilla. Very minor dark fruits, with no alcohol or flaw. Sweetness seems pretty appropriate, there, but not overdone for the style. Very clean for a Kent Falls beer, but I guess you don't wanna make a coffee milk stout farmy/funky.
In the mouth it's both malty and dry with light lactose and chocolate-like sweetness and a softish texture with low, fairly engaging carbonation. Very low bitterness; could probably use a bit more, to be honest, but clean and with no alcohol. Not sure I love this being 7%; it just kind of gets too sweet and strong. Feels like these same flavors could be accomplished easily at 5% or less. Still, it's quite competent and drinkable.

Glitter Rainbow from Kent Falls Brewing

Moderately hazy, golden-peach-orange. White head atop is small and slowly recedes to a ring.
Nose is soft and inviting with juicy nectarine, mango and tangerine being prominent. One of my favorite parts of KF's IPAs are there relative lack of heavy yeast character. For a NE IPA, this is clean, crisp and shows little/no bubble gum or other intense, thick ester. Malts are well-attenuated below, adding very light honey, whitebread and hints of cracker. Everything smells harmonious and juicy with no alcohol, resin/pine or flaw.
In the mouth it's soft, supple, malty and dry with light honey, white bread and cracker comprising the malt backbone. Just as clean and soft as can be with juicy hops showing tangerine, ripe nectarine and mango. Near perfectly balanced with no alcohol, no twang/resin and no yeastiness. Focuses on the low bitterness and juicy hop character without all the creamy, estery, bubble gummy crap that so often gets in the way with these NE IPAs. Light and drinkable but bursting with flavor. Amazing. And this at over a month and a half old.

On draft at Spacebar. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Fruity aroma with tangerine and some pine. Flavors are moderately bitter pine.

Bottle from Nate, thanks: pours pale yellow with white head. Aroma is bretty, fleurs, sugar. Taste is dry, bretty, lightly sweet. Tasty.

Bottle. Not far shy of opaque straw gold with an inch + of loose white head that fades gradually. Aroma of ripe peaches, mild funk of the under-ripe nectarine type, twigs, tropical bubblegum, crackers. Fizzy, thinned kefir texture. Plainer and less fruity than the aroma. Slightly tart with crackers, twiggy notes and slight chalk at the dry and moderately bitter finish. Trapped in Habitual Nostalgia #6 - Cascade and Mosaic from Kent Falls Brewing

Drab/dull brass. Lightly-to-moderately hazy. White head sits nicely at cover.
Perfume, spice, mandarin. Much more Cascade than Mosaic. Given their fairly poor social media updates, Im not very confident this is even the right beer, though it is the last batch theyve claimed to have released, two months ago. So not much going on in the nose; that part seems to fit. Some vegetal character and biscuit malt with no sweetness, as its been consistent with so far.
Dry, lightly spicy and vegetal in the mouth with a malty texture but zero sweetness. Guess that works for its size but it just doesnt feel balanced to me with the C hops that are pretty piney and citrusy. Still, the age has helped and its got low bitterness and no resin. Some weird vegetal notes linger but otherwise its solid.

Bottle from the brewery, thanks Nate: pours blackish with a beige head. Aroma is hints of bourbon, funky yeasts, light chocolate, hints of coffee. Interesting nose. Taste is sweet and funky. All the flavors shine through. Really interesting and tasty.
