Ridiculously hazy golden coloured body with a thick, almost pure white head about eight centimetres tall - very nice and incredible looking with the hazy glow of gold and the larger head - beautiful. Aroma of dry grain, pure yeast and wheats, some subdued grasses, a touch of sugars and a bit of dry funk at the end - very nice. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal funk and yeastie qualities at first with some light wheat, a touch of herbs and some moderate amount of sweetness is noticeable near the end. Aftertaste shows some yeast with a lot of grasses and a very complex and robust dry funk of saison-y notes that are still low alcohol but show bunches of flavours and a nice robust yeast complexity throughout. Overall, a very nice and rich beer with a low alcohol, but full flavour and even fuller complexity towards the end. Great to sample and even though I wanted to dislike this beer, I really liked it and wish it was a bit cheaper and easier to find and I'd get more of them. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 10-June-2017 for US$6,25 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Pungoteague, Virginia on 26-January-2018.

5 3 5 3 10 Draft at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of gooseberry, disturbing gluey notes, light funk and light herbal notes. Flavour is above moderate sour. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at BeerTemple. Bit hazy pale straw with small bubbly white head. Light yoghurt, strong sour gooseberries, light hay, grassy, light aniseed, herbs, soft horse and glue. Very sour and light bitter. Light bodied with dry finish. Not bad.

Medium haze, blonde with strong maize highlights and a small, white head with moderate retention.
Fruity in the nose, but certainly not dominated by it, nor even what I'd call jammy. Light grapefruit, pineapple and finally light honey-like malts show through easily and balance, bringing the IPA aspect to the forefront. Only a touch of fruity strawberry, really and the sweetness is light. Clean, soft, with no alcohol or resin.
Texture is not quite as thick as Pancaketown, but definitely very soft and supple. Good attenuation, as one expects from KF with a nice mix of pineapple, lime and orange hop notes playing against strawberry, light fruit sugar and a fair bit of raspberry juiciness. Tight carbonation, no flaw or alcohol. Like Pancaketown, it's weird but well-done and enjoyable. Bit of earth and dirt on end with lingering lime and light pine.

Draught at Beer Temple. Pale yellow with a short frothy head. Aroma of sour wheat. Flavour is sour citrus, salty bitter, wheat on a tart lime finish.

Light haziness in this drab, rust/copper-tinted golden beer. Moderate retention to the off-white head.
Very light blueberry mixes with a surprising amount of green, leafy, spicy hop character. Definite cereal grain character behind begins to shape a picture of a hoppy panacake? I mean, I can see the conception here and the nutty, cereal and biscuit character of the buckwheat certainly works well towards that end, while the hops show just a little bit more grapefruit and pine than I'd prefer, with warming. But it's not messy or overdone on anything.
The first thing I get is the "thick" texture. It's kind of like drinking a liquified, chewy pancake, again, the buckwheat really seeing to that. Strong bitterness enters the picture; lots of grapefruit and moderate pine forming more of a West Coast IPA impression. Blueberry is very moderate and there is some saccharine-like sweetness on the finish. Lime zest character lingers on alongside grainy, nutty and cereal-like buckwheat character. For a somewhat novelty beer, they did a very nice job executing it, regardless if it's your thing or not (can't say I loved it, personally).
