Bottle. Metallic malt aroma. Golden yellow with large, persistant head. Light corn malt flavor - little body. Looks good but positive end there - even Coors light and Miller Lite are better than this.

Bottle. Clear golden, a bit paler than expected. Aroma and initial taste are skunky. Very average taste. I can not think of any reason to drink it again. I guess I like Canadian macros more than US macros. Small victory, no?

Sampled on draft this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is lightly grainy and sour. The body is very light. The flavor is tangy macro malts with a light yeasty and fruity undertone and a faintly sweet finish. Fairly bland but there are hints of something vaguely interesting.

On tap at Peak’s Bar, Vancouver Airport. So, my last beer of my PNW trip and not exactly representative of the 200 beers I had in the 2 weeks before. But hey, when one is in an airport, one drinks what is available. Clear gold with disappearing white head. Slightly corny aroma, not much else. Pretty empty in mouth, some lemon/lime citrus flavour. Some crisp hop on finish, but very faint. More corn. Pretty awful and over carbonated too.

Bottle at Peak’s Bar, Vancouver Airport. Clear amber, thin beige head. Some malt, bit stale. Not much flavour in mouth, some toffee. No real hop, some toffee, touch of dryness. Otherwise very dull, but no bad flavours.

Got this beer a lot on Canadian taps. Tried it again in America from the bottle. It is certainly not a very full flavoured beer, but at least it keeps all of the bad flavours down and as such, the beer is better than other cheap beers. Has enough alcohol to justify purchasing it.

This is quite plainly a mediocre beer. I had it in both of its incarnations as Black Label in a 12 ounce and Carling in a pint. Tastes like watery beer, but goes down easy. Low on alcohol and taste. Basically your standard pale lager, but still better than Bud.
