Sampled from 0.5 l can from local 'Kaufland', as '5,0 Original Stark', best before July 2025. Clear, amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, minimally floral aroma of grains, some honey and traces of straw. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly floral and a little boozy taste of grains, straw, honey, sugar and light sultanas, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Actually drinkable but far from great, tastes like a typical cheap macro strong lager.

500 ml boring can from Rewe City in Munich, Germany. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Standard pilsner malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Standard pilsner malt flavor with a semi-sharp, long finish. Smooth, clean, and crisp. Good example of the style. Medium body and medium carbonation. Light bitterness. Good, uncomplicated beer.

Can, 0.50l. Aroma is grainy, grassy, floral and dusty. Pours clear golden color with thin frothy white head, poor lacing and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy and yeasty, following is grassy, honeyish and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Not very original…
