35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Troebele, diep goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Typische Belgische Tripel-geur, zoet, moutig, oude koekjes, appelmoes, smaak volgt, licht boozy, goed bitter, licht kruidig. Volle body. Goede Tripel.

355ml can online from Beer Republic, day 4 of their 2021 advent calendar. Pours clear golden with a foamy white head. Aroma: orange & yeast esters. Taste: moderate sweet with low bitterness,semi dry, yeasty esters dominate, also notes of candy sugar, brioche bun, light spicy, booze. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Not bad at all

Clear golden colour with thin head. Aroma is malty and has some elements of banana bread. Flavour is similar. The banana sweetness grows and grows. Afterwards the boozy warmth kicks in. It's a fairly clean Tripel which is not always a bad thing. I'm relieved this is not over the top with sweet spices as is often the case when American breweries attempt Belgian styles.
