Bladder box at the Royal Standard Of England, Wooburn Green, 01/05/19. Light haze on a pale yellow pour with a moderate white cap. Nose is tangy apples, straw, light dirt and wood. Taste comprises dry apples, light funk dusting, hay bale, apple orchard, tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Not bad at all … limited sweetness, good refreshment.

On cask at Bulls Head, Belper Lane End - a dull looking ale, with a thin head, and minimal carbonation. Shottle Cock is a refreshing one, a bit hoppy in the nose and taste, but lacking in any substance.
