CAN 568 ML. Clear dar ruby-brown, small beige head. Big malty and burnt sugar aroma, some dried prunes. The flavour is similar, very sticky. Low carbonation, some artificial acid. An ordinary industrial bottled kvass.

50cl bottle from Mego, Valmiera. Pours clear deep golden to amber with a modest, off-white head. Mild grainy aroma with notes of caramel and just a hint of darker malts and hops. Fairly sweet with the usual industrial pale lager flavours, just a bit caramel in addition. Not the worst, but far from the best - drinkable enough given the right circumstances. --- Beer merged from original tick of Brūža Samtainais on 23 Aug 2016 at 19:06 - Score: 5

Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body. Spicy raisiny aroma with mealy notes. Sweetish strawy raisiny taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish raisiny fruity papery aftertaste with mealy notes. Nice, drinkable, interesting. (0.5l bottle, from Rimi.)

Can from Kubus, Bedford. Light brownish red and thinnish-clear. Well-carbonated. Chocolate malt, smoke, caraway. Weird and not very pleasant. Tastes OK, almost good. Sweet and a bit spicy. Thin palate and weird adjunct aftertaste. No thanks.

56,8cl can from Rimi Hypermarket in Jelgava. Pours clear dark golden to pale amber, with a fairly fast dissipating head. Mild grainy aroma with hints of metal, cooked vegetables and honey. Kind of sweet and luckily not to much flavour. Some bitterness is actually present, but besides that it’s really a pretty crappy lager. --- Beer merged from original tick of Premium Amber on 24 Mar 2016 at 22:37 - Score: 4
